Injury Pain Recovery
At Advanced Wellness, we help patients recover from injuries by reducing pain, restoring mobility, and supporting the body's natural healing process. We have a comprehensive focus on whole-body wellness and vitality, giving you access to a personalized treatment regimen designed to help you heal and get back to doing what you love.
Types of Injuries We’ve Helped to Treat
Joint pain can arise from pregnancy and childbirth, arthritis, traumatic injuries, repetitive stress, or simple overuse as the body ages.
Weight-bearing and frequently used joints are where most people experience joint pain, including knees, hips, hands & fingers, shoulders, spine (including neck & lower back), ankles, feet & toes.
If the pain is persistent enough, aches or throbs, often feels stiff, swells, or limits range of motion, it might be considered chronic joint pain that requires a comprehensive treatment plan.
Injury Recovery Service Options
-

Chiropractic Care
Improved spinal and joint alignment helps reduce pressure on injured tissues and supports proper nervous system function. This allows the body to move more efficiently, decrease pain and inflammation, and recover more effectively after injury.
-

PiezoWave
Piezowave therapy supports injury recovery by using acoustic pressure waves to break down scar tissue and reduce inflammation in damaged soft tissues. This helps improve circulation and stimulates cellular repair, allowing the body to heal more efficiently and restore mobility.
-

Massage & Bodywork
Massage therapy can support injury recovery by reducing muscle tension, improving circulation, and decreasing inflammation in affected areas. By promoting relaxation and increasing blood flow to injured tissues, massage helps accelerate healing and restore mobility.
-

Acupuncture
Improved blood flow to injured tissues helps reduce inflammation and supports the body’s natural healing process. Acupuncture can also ease muscle tension and pain, promoting faster recovery and improved mobility after an injury.
-

PEMF
Pulsed electromagnetic fields help stimulate cellular repair and increase energy production within damaged tissues. This enhanced cellular activity improves circulation and reduces inflammation, supporting more efficient recovery from injury.
-

Infrared Sauna
Deep, penetrating heat from an infrared sauna increases circulation and helps relax tight muscles around injured areas. This improved blood flow can reduce inflammation and support the body’s natural repair processes for faster recovery.

FAQs

The type of service will definitely depend on the type of pain you have and the area being treated. However, if you’re suffering from back, joint, or muscle pain, we may likely suggest a chiropractic adjustment.
Chiropractic care is our flagship service, and we’re proud to say we do it differently from any other chiropractor in the area. At Advanced Wellness, we use the Activator Method, which allows our Doctors to make gentle, targeted adjustments to many areas of the body, based on the source of your pain (including spine, hips, ankles, wrists, pelvis, and even muscles).
-
In general, the injuries that heal the quickest are mild, uncomplicated soft-tissue injuries where there is no major structural damage. However, healing speed depends on multiple factors, including age, overall health, circulation, nutrition, activity level, and how quickly treatment begins after the injury.
If your injury was recent, you may experience improvements in only a few sessions. If it’s a chronic issue that has lasted several years, it may take more sessions to begin to see results.
-
Ideally, you’ll want a diet that reduces inflammation, provides protein for tissue repair, and supplies key vitamins and minerals for healing.
High-quality protein; i.e., eggs, fish, turkey, Greek yogurt, beans, chicken
Anti-inflammatory foods; i.e., fatty fish, olive oil, avocado, ginger, leafy greens
Vitamin C-rich foods; i.e., oranges, strawberries, bell peppers
Zinc & magnesium; i.e., nuts, seeds, whole grains, spinach
Calcium & vitamin D; i.e., dairy, leafy greens, fatty fish
Hydration & electrolytes, for mineral absorption

The number of sessions needed to relieve pain may vary depending on the cause of the pain, area being addressed, how long the pain or injury has been present, and the mix of services recommended for addressing the pain.
Some patients experience pain relief after just a few sessions. For deep chronic pain, it may require ongoing sessions to help manage the symptoms. Our Doctors will help advise on the best pain relief plan for you.
-
The length of the appointment will depend on the service you’re most interested in starting. If you don’t know where to start, a New Patient Exam may be ideal. This includes a comprehensive evaluation to help us fully understand the nature of your joint pain and recommend some services specifically to address your situation.
